Quite often if there are members who feel discussion of a file is required they will simply go to the appropriate forum and start a thread, IE bin 160 discussion etc.
Also for the MODS to "create a link and discussion thread" for EACH bin, would be an IMMENSE amount of work especially when the fixes all come out close together
Just FYI the reason we allow NO discussion in the files forums is MOST members SUBSCRIBE to the file forum of their receiver and therefore EACH time a post was made they would receive an email notification and they would flood the site to get the "latest bin" when if fact it may be someone posting is bin 160 working??? that is one of the MAIN reasons we also switched ALL file forums over to "moderated" forums. This means EACH file must have it authenticity verified and be approved by a MOD before the file is visible in the forums to members.
