Channel Master vs openDBedit

Thanks for the Reply hedo.

I have looked at and played (only very briefly) with Channel Master. It seems to be a very good product for General FTA boxes. openDBedit is specifically for the DB, so it has a built in FTP function to Import/Export files directly to/from the DB. It seems to do essentially the same thing as Channel Master.

My problem is that even though I set up the Channels the way I want them, the DB seems to "process" the channels and re-number them anyway.

Since I am new at this, I don't know why this is happening, and my attempts to perform a work around have been unsuccessful.

As mentioned in the originating post, I have defined Channel 103 and then Channel 105, in the DB Channel 103 is correct, but Channel 105 gets renumbered (reassigned / reprocessed) to Channel 104. So if I want to watch 105, I have to type in channel 104 on the remote. This renumbering happens whenever there is a "missing" or blank channel in the list.

Hopefully some of the more experienced DBers can help me out.

Thanks.

Snoopy
