Hi Wizit, I'm not sure I know exactly which letter you're referring to. As far as fighting for our rights, FTA is a form of civil disobedience. Gandhi said it was our duty as citizens to protest the laws we disagree with, and these forums and our efforts in other areas of the web site make him proud.
Consider this hypothetical: If a major bank had its executives go to the roof of one of their buildings and empty a bag of money in to the wind, and then called the police to say they wanted everyone who picked up a few dollars to be charged with a crime, they would be laughed out of the courtroom.
Why did they empty the bag? Because each bill was stamped with the name of the bank and the bank wanted to save money on the delivery method to their customer. They also thought it would be a good promotional tool. But after realizing some of the people would never become good customers, they decided to criminalize the act of picking up a dollar bill that fell from the sky in to your yard.
With all of the commercials on regular television and product placement in everything else, the programs have been paid for many times over.
