Before you give up one quick idea

There is another fellow who had that problem here is what took place there

quote=fugley]testing with your ohm meter the connections between pins I think that the plug can go on either way and it is just a matter of flipping it around you can confirm this by checking just one pin to pin, try one probe on pin 5 of the DB25 plug and probe the 20 pin connector four corner pins when you get a connection should read between 100 and 1000 ohms and no Reading on the others. this will give you your index and that will be the hole that needs to go to the left rear row(PIN 10) the others should be correct you may need to strip a small wire to shove into those small holes to measure. only need to check the four corners to pin 5 on the DB25 will give you the plug orientation. Tell me how it works out, and if it was on wrong before, that would explain the issues that you have had. Oh and no problem I just keep this screen in the corner to see if anything pops up lol.
fugley, great news.I was able to turn the 20 pin connector around(had to do a lil fileing on the 20 pin connector)and everything else went just like clockwork.(you are the man)now i am up to downloading modded pansat tivo bin.. just wanted to give you the heads up.Thank you and to all that made this possible. a round for the house

See what this person had to do It may be the same for you I have an idea this will help you , I really hope it does lol.
Please keep me posted thanks.

Good sounds like you've got it

It sounds like you may have it figured out. Keep me posted. Any or all of the pins in the row toward the front of the stb are ground and it is only important that at least pin25 of the DB25 plug must go to one of the front row pins or sometimes they are all wired together. Good luck.
