Very few 800's were sold

I am very sorry but most time getting these non supported box's is diverted to the ones most commonly used and by far the 700/750 has the lead. I don't have an 800 and really no nothing about what it would take. Perhaps when things settle and the 700 is totally sorted with a jtagless fix then we can look into it but I would not hold my breath. Mingo did say that he would still release bins now and then but if that doesn't cut it with you , then you may want to seriously consider buying a box with support that is fairly new, you can surf the forums to form an idea. Good luck, sorry I can't help you right now.

I wish I could offer a better answer but that is all I can offer right now . Holy COW I just saw the title of this thread PLEASE I DID NOT START THIS THREAD I am just trying to help. In the above post the "700/750 has the lead" I mean among arizas of course.

Best way to investigate if a box can be converted is to create a parts list of what is in the box and then compare to the contents of other boxes. The pansat 2500 is the same as the fortec ultra and there is a full schematic for that box. The pansat 2700 is very, very similar to the 2500 but with 2Meg flash and slightly different LNB connections, so the ultra schematic is still a good place to look to see how your box compares.

I would like to know what site this is so that I can check it out and see what I can work up.

Here is what I've found so far

I found a factory jtag full dump file 2meg and turned a converted ariza 700 back into a ariza 800 no problems scanned all channels Of course no pay channels but I do get audio on the NASA and advert channels, that was one issue so now that it thinks it's a 800 I will jtag directly to a converted 800 and see if it is ok . this is not definitive, I am getting audio from the audio plugs on the stb it may not have audio if using the modulator(you know the ch 3/4 output), So I will keep you posted but at this point the units are very very close to being the same, It would be funny but I think it is basically the same and offers absolutely nothing that the 700 didn't have but a higher price, I do know many of the other brands are the same they offer the same main circuit board in their cheapest stb and their more expensive ones. If the 800 has more memory it is not being put to use because the software is only addressing 2meg the same as the 700. I will keep you posted but if you like to mess around go ahead and use the latest conversion posted and jtag the thing I can tell you for sure that it can easily be changed back. The one person I got a pm from said his went fine he is getting all channels but no audio so any testing will help, like try to see if you get audio from the audio jacks. I would have to tear up my entertainment center to get to an antenna connection on the back of the TV so I am not going to do that lol. If you decide to test this please give me feedback as soon as you can. also I would like a flash dump from a 800 with the conversion bin loaded. Thanks. Well it converted without a problem and loads the converted bin and has audio. So I think it is certianly worth a try same with the 700S.
