My Ariza 700 Dead. :S

Yes so i was trying to do the conversion from the post of "Just_angle" the serial way conversion and not the jtag way i dont even know what jtag is or do...

So yes i uploaded the ariza2pariza bin with mingo loader receiver light went into 8 and just stayed there after that i used the next step as indecated. i used the HyperTerminal to upload the boot file it was a success it said then i rebooted my reciver manually and tryed to turn it back on and it didnt come to live. it died i turned it on from the back and i dont see any light on my reciver..

Help please..

When i turn it on i dont see anything on hyperterminal.. its blank like my lcd display on my ariza

sounds like you loaded a file before the boot file

Load the Ukr_Ariza2Pariza bin with the Mingo loader, once the box reboots, 4 dashes will light up across the display and hang there for a few... then it will hang on last dash for a few more... then it will appear to be Knightriderish (but only 4 scrolls, then hang on last dash).. Box is done and can be rebooted freely.

Use Hyperterm to load in a fresh copy of the boot *FIRST THING*.. as some custom tailoring was required to get this file to take properly--but makes it a bit unstable (if a bin was to be loaded insted of a fresh Bootfile as the FIRST thing.. Part of the code that allows the box to come ON will be overwritten, and box will become a doorstop once power is removed or box rebooted.)

Just a note, that once the boot is good and solid in place.. Hyperterm is not 'needed' to load files...the 2700 style loader works and does the job just fine.

but what as there is no power at all... u don't see anything... when Hyper T. is started and you turn on unit from back... it should display the options to choose from once it's connected... but in this case... nothing is happening... no response at all from unit... how to see if power is dead or unit is dead? how do we know that unit is working ....
