first posting

Hi, this is my first posting. I'm just a casual FTA User as I only use my receiver in the summer months. I have a converted ARIZA 700 and I will try to bring it up to date in the next couple of weeks. The last bin I had i think was around 286. (Last Sept). I will be asking a few questions in the next little while. Please be patient.
thanks.

I installed the latest version V-217 Newphase keys imbedded and tried it this weekend.
After scanning echo 7 and echo 8 all i got was autorolling and no tv except for the Dish advertising channel. I then tried to update with the new keys and i couldn't.
When I clicked on Parental Control i got the screen asking for Pin number. I couldn't get by no matter what i tried.
One other question, I have an old TV. Would that cause a problem with the staions going digital.
thanks in advance.

When you asked on May 26 that was the latest file but due to a recent ECM the latest file is now this file here. http://www.dssrookie.com/forums/ariz...-new-post.html

Please try this file and then report back.

I had this in my list of files maybe you might be able to use it. This is an oldy but goody.

How To Change Keys Ariza 700

1) Press Menu

2) Scroll Down to Parental Control, Press Enter

3) Press "i" key on remote, then enter pin number "2004"

4) Scroll down to Set Default Key, Press Enter

5) Scroll up to Nagravision, Press Enter

6) Press VOL Right twice, you will see Dish Network

7) Press CH Down once, then VOL Right Twice, you will now see Nagravision 2 displayed top left

8) You are now at the key 00, Press CH Down once so you can edit the Key Data

9) Enter your new keys (write down the old ones to be safe)

10) Press Ok to store, then repeat with key 01

11) Press exit until you get back to tv, all channels will be available

since its now a pansat..cuz you converted it

press 8282 on your remote to take you where the key data is

and another hint....if its just sitting there and no channels are working

enter 8282 on your remote..then click on save default keys

exit out and let it roll the keys, it may take up to 20 minutes to do so
