Arrow Ariza 400 Ultra For Dumbies.

I cant take the credit for this, provided by mr. safe sex himself. from another site. the proper name of the receiver isnt enforcer plus. its called ariza 400 ultra

now for the instructions:
The ** ARIZA 400/500 ** Software
Installation Tutorial...
================================================== ========
these files and instructions and comments are for the
NEW ARIZA 400/500 +++ receiver only ..

DO NOT try to flash any other receiver with these files, you will disable it
and render it useless ..

You have been warned, the other files for our other products are posted in
their respective forums ... USE the right file for the right receiver !!!

---------------------------
When you receive your new ARIZA reciever it has been shipped to you
as it left the factory, WITHOUT the "special software" pre-loaded into
the unit..

We are doing this for your protection and ours ..

Customs and law agencies are becoming very hip to this biz , and by shipping
these units in their "factory free to air' condition, they or anyone else can
do nothing about it ... we are shipping these units as a " 100 % legal FTA ird"
plain and simple ... no hassles for anybody at all ... they are 100 % legal ..

Now when you get your unit , you have a couple choices, you can read the
instructions and operate it as a perfectly legal FTA receiver or you can
choose to "upgrade" it to a "better selection of channels for yourself" ..

Here is how to do the upgrade if you choose too..

there is a link to a file at the end of the post
hxxp://www.ftacentral.com/index.php?PHPSESSID=1ea108e1824c33faf4b9234e8d8238 93&direction=0&order=&directory=Cyclone%20-%20Ultra%20400

download it , and unzip it into a new folder ..

ONLY DOWNLOAD FILES FROM HERE!!!!

And a link to the Channel Editor for this receiver too ..

Have your new "ARIZA" attached to the included null modem serial cable
into the computer, BUT LEAVE THE POWER CORD UNPLUGGED FOR NOW

Open the "NEW ARIZA RELEASE" file

Pic # 1

You should see this next window ..

Pic # 2

now if you don't see the above window , and are running a firewall like NIS
2004 like myself , you may get a alert like below, don't worry, you are not
allowing anyone or anything into your computer, it is just the nature of this
software , to loop back to your computer, it is 100 % safe to allow the
connection ...

Pic # 3

Once you allow the connection, you should see Pic # 2 .. Let's continue .

Now that you have the software uploader open , make sure your comm port is set
correctly ... mine is comm # 1

Once you have this done , you may now plug the 120 volt receiver power cord
into a outlet ... The software should start loading to the receiver
automatically and you should see it doing so ..

Pic # 4

This should take about 2-4 minutes to write to your receiver , depending on
your computer speed etc ..

Pic # 5

After the software "downloads to the receiver" it will start to write it to
the TSOP chip ... note that bottom bar will indicate a blue progress bar for
this part of the software transfer...

When the software transfer is done , you will see the window below....

Pic # 7

It is now safe to exit the software application ..

pic # 8

After you close the application, you may disconnect the serial null modem
cable and unplug the power cord from the "Enforcer Plus"

Let's go to the TV and hook it up ... but first >>>>

To get yourself acquainted with this new receiver and all the features it
has, please read the instruction booklet throughly before hand .. This one has a lot of toys, and will be frustrating if you do not understand what the
buttons and functions do before you try to hook it up ... Save yourself the
frustration, take 15 minutes to look over the instructions first please !!!

For direction on receiver setup, and length of this post , let's assume you
already have your dish setup and pointed properly to the Sat's you want to
receive, and good clean RG6 cables to the receiver as well .. If you have
questions regarding dish pointing , please look or post in the "dish
installation forum" for tips and instructions for your type of dish .. For
this post, let's stick to this receiver only, thanks .

Hook up the receiver to the TV , via the RCA cables or the co axial output ,
and hookup the RG6 sat feed in to "LNB in" from the Sat you wish to setup

If you already have the switch installed and you can disconnect it for the
time being, please do this at this point (We can install the switch later).

Plug the ARIZA into the 120 volt outlet..

You should be presented with a "Easy Installation Screen" on the TV..

# 1 - Menu Language > Pick one

# 2 - Audio Language > Pick One

# 3 - Subtitle Language > Your choice again

# 4 - Local Time > this is + or - GMT (EDT is -4:00 hours right now)

# 5 - Channel Search > This is where you decide what you want to watch ..

You now have to decide which Sat's you want to download and watch .. tough eh?

For example sake , I will use the 5 standard Nagravision Sat's from the list
of Sat's installed by the software upload....

Echostar 6/8 110W - Dish 110

Echostar 7 119W - Dish 119

Echostar 3 61.5W - Dish 61.5

Galaxy11/***** 1 91.0W - OL 91

***** 2 - 81.0W - OL 82

To pick a sat you want to download , scroll down till you highlight it , then
press "OK" to put a check mark beside it.

Now scroll over to the right hand side to set the settings for this sat ..
All the above 5 Sat's will use the same settings

As follows

C/KU switch > None

LNB Freq > Press OK, scroll down the list to " 00000" and enter "11250" with
the numbers on the remote control.. Press OK

LNB Power > On

22KHz > Off

0v/12v > 0 V

Tone Burst > Off

DiSEqC > Off for now ... you can set this later after you downloaded all Sat's
individually first, remember when installing the switch in-line, unplug the
receiver first to avoid shorting the switch out from electrical current
form the receiver, this is important, you can fry the switch if you don't
unplug the ird !!!

Ok, you got all the settings correct , now look at the bottom of the screen ,
you will note all functions are color coded for all button functions, in this
case , to "scan the selected sat" after setting the correct settings above,
the button color is "red" , so to scan the sat for channels, press the "red'
button on the remote..

You will now see a new screen "Search Type" , asking you to make a choice.

This new ird features a fully automatic "blind search" which means the TP list
is no longer in play to a certain degree. The receiver will find all available
transponders on the particular sat you set up and download all channels that
are available .. nice huh ...

Ok back to selections ..

Type of search > pick "Network" > this is the blind search feature.

Search type > All

Press OK

Channels from the Sat will start downloading , please wait till it says it is
done, this could take anywhere from 2-5 minutes or more , depending on which sat you are downloading from...

When you have downloaded all available channels , you will get a new screen,
saying how many TV and how many Radio channels you downloaded ..

If your satisfied with the results

Press OK , to save when prompted ..

Watch TV !!!!

Note ... This ird does not put TV channels in the radio list that I have seen
so far , another nice improvement !!!

Here is the beauty of this Enforcer Plus ..

If you think some channels are missing , just repeat the scan again , this
receiver will not double up the channels you have downloaded, it will only add
the ones you may have missed the first time , cool ...
Some more footnotes ...

The Dishnet EPG still does not work with this receiver simply because of the
way Dishnet broadcasts their signal , but OL EPG is awesome , I will let you
see for yourself .. up to a week in advance for programming times etc !! and a
few different ways to view the program guide as well ..

This receiver is packed with all kinds of functions and toys , I would get
into all of them, but will cover the menu basics for now...

There are 5 sub menus with lots of other functions within them ... as follows
MAKE SURE YOU UNLOCK EVERYTHING FOR NOW....

- System Setup

-Menu language

-Audio Language

-Subtitle Language

-Banner Display Time

-Local Time

-Menu Transparency

-Change Pin Code > default is " 0000 "

-Parental Lock

-Receiver Lock

-Menu Lock

-Channel Lock

-Auto Power

-Timer

-Factory Reset > If you use this be prepared to start from the top of this
post again !!!!

-System Information

-Installation

-Sat selection, scan , TP info , etc .... very easy to follow

- Channel List
- Sort, favorites ( ton's of favorite list options as well )

- Edit Channel List

- Change, edit, rename channels

- Program Guide

- picture in menu to boot, very sweeeeeeeeet !!!

Another bonus over the original ARIZA is that the "No Name" Dish Channels,
are now downloaded to this receiver with the actual Dishnet channel number in the name , eg > PR121 , etc ... this is sweet, you can sort them by channel
number now , without having to touch a channel editor , but if you want to
play with the channels, we have a custom channel editor just for this
receiver, posted below ..

only download files from here.
