It's a C-Band receiver for receiving big dish stuff. They use a VCII scrambling system (I think). You can subscribe to stuff like you can with DN except it's better quality. But it takes a BUD

No, it's Digicipher II scrambling. Digicipher II has never been broken and probably never will be, it's very secure, so the answer to your question is NO.

You can use a BDM cable to connect to the device, the trick is knowing the memory map of the device once know it can be cloned!.
