New to CW ownership and in need of a hand :)

Hey all. Just got myself a CW700. It's running...sort of I checked around, but am not able to find info on my troubles easily!

First issue, likely the easiest, is sorting the channels by channel number. Currently, my channels are all over the place. I've been thru every menu and tried several things...none of which have worked

The 2nd issue is I appear to be missing some channels. Just disconnected a Coolsat 5K and had all channels on it, so I know the dish is fine. Have tried scanning several times but it's just not picking up.

Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated I've gone from knowing my way around a CS very well to fumbling hopelessly on this CW...but so far I do like it!

Thanks all in advance for an help.

I'm familiar with the CW600P (and not the 700) so some one else can probably give you more definitive help. However, you need to click on sort by SID. It is probably under installation and system setup, or something along those lines. You need to get your settings correct. Like the CS, you should set up 119 as LNB1 and 110 as LNB2. Use autoscan (it is the red button on the CW600P) and scan in that order, i.e. 119, then 110. Hope this helps.

From main menu->system setting->system->channel No. style can change:
Normal: Normal sort order
SID sort: Dish order

Thanks for the info. Already have it set on SID. It's numbered the channels correctly, however in the EPG, there doesn't appear to be any particular oder to them. I would like to sort by channel number, however all I can find is sort by favorite, alphabetical or sat. Nothing by channel number.

Try doing a hard boot from the back switch. Then recheck to see if it's still on sid. I had this happen once.

Did the hard reboot - that didn't help. However, I did get it figured out.

In the end, I did a factory default on the box. Rescanned and set the sid again. Changed from all sats to the sat of my choice, enabled patch and that seemed to do it. Took a while and was frustrating as the 1st time I went through all the above since last posting, I got to the last bit of enabling the patch to open the signal, when it scrambled the friggin list again...but it unscrambled the channels. Anyway, the 2nd time around it worked and I guess that's what really matters.

Well, again, thanks to all for the help! I hope this serves to help the next poor soul that gets into the same troubles!

So far so good....a happy CW owner!
