Quick DP44 Question...
Do you have to use the power plug in order to use the DP44 or can you use it just like the regular DP34 without the plug?

it will but you'll need a few old dn or dtv units hooked up in place of the power inserter

What advantages does the dp44 have over the 34?

dp44=four sats in ,four outputs(rcvr's)requires power insertion.
dp34=3 sats in,four outputs,does not require power insertion,

Looks the same to me besides the 1 additional source.

Does the power source help boost the signal on the 44?
