Need some guidance for new stb....should I go for the CS trade offer?

I need to get a new stb since my vspro is dead in the water for many days.

I thought about this exchange program coolsat offers, I have a coolsat 5k in the closet that I think :

1.should I exchange for a coolsat 6100 and pay the $79?
2.should I exchange for a coolsat 7100 and pay the $119?
3.for obvious reason I haven't checked this coolsat forum in a while so I wonder now about the support for the 6100 or 7100 ??
4.should I put my $$ elsewhere and maybe get a different brand?

thanks for any feedback....I don't really need/want the pvrfunction but more the usb ports front/back to easyly load bins...

DON'T! I REPEAT DON'T! purchase another coolsat product right now.
They have coder problems, newer stb's support could be in question in near future.

I say go a different Brand too . If u really look at the price they are taking off for the TRADE OFF . It not worth it . For just a bit more ,ur able to purchase a stb which has good support .
If I am correct ,they are charging for S/H too ?
Take the stb that isn't being used, and use it for target practise ?
