help,dm500s is eating my brain

Hi guys,can some body help me with how install the emu on my dm500s ? for two weeks I am reading all those guide that seems to bi outdate, I get true with the channels, I see the open channels like nasa the other channels are there but they don’t open,so my emu is not working
When I click on the adon button I don’t see no file in it but it use about 60% of the var memory, so or correct install, I am use sing DSM-DM500-Remastered,I see there is two file pack (rqcamd-0.89-DSM and rqcamd_0.89_DSM_PPC.tar.gz),I think this one {rqcamd_0.89_DSM_PPC.tar.gz}
Is the emu but I don’t know how to install it.Now I trying with[ rqcamd-0.90T_DSM] do I have to decompress it? or rename it?
please need some help?

no.. download and save it in your dreambox folder. now open DCC. verivy you have a connection from the pc to the db. in the left colum double click on temp. now in the right hand colum click on the emu ( do not unzip it)once it is highlighted use the arrow in the middle to move it to the left colum. now open the attributes and change to 755 and close out dcc. open addon's and you should see it. then follow the screen prompts to add it, exit out and start the emu.

You are using DCC to copy the .tar.gz file (DSM for your image, PPC is the DM500s) to your /tmp folder.

Then you use your remote, hit blue button, go to manual addons and you'll see the file there to be installed. Click OK and it will install.

Exit all menus, click blue button, select softcam setup and you should see the new RqCamd listed. Just hit the green button (save and restart emu) and you should start receiving picture.

your welcome.. once you get it going the first time you'll feel great. they are a bit more complicated then most fta units but its worth it. go get it going!

Hi guys,I check my var meter and it was 93% used so I begin from scratch again, after installing dsm and scanning the channels I install the emu { rqcamd-0.91-DSM-PPC.tar}and now it is working, no I have to edit my channal list.
I have a question, do I have to use those file also {rqcamd-0.91-binaries.tar , rqcamd-0.91-sources.tar}? if so when? Thanks again guys.

NO. The binaries and source you do NOT have to use. They are there for your refence only.

BTW... The NEW Pli Jade October 2008 release now allows North American satellite scanning.
