The on-screen message says "Please Wait... Checking USB".

I then have to reset both the receiver & the HDD

These happens when I record, or when I playback a recording.
Occasionaly works fine.

it does it with a maxtor 160G quick view drive in a 2.0 enclosure with ali chipset, this happens with both a HDD & a 2GB virbatim USB stick, Both are formated fat32 on PC & nano2 format but it makes no difference.

till they fix this what I found is that selecting the other PVR function either record or play after the other option has been used causes the nano 2 to hang,

so if you recorded a program then go to play it will hang & if you play a file then go to record a program it will hang.

to avoid this you must power down the receiver @ the back switch & turn it back on, as well you must reset the HDD main power, when it reboots you can choose either record or play, you can play as many files as you want or record as many files as you want without problems but once you've chosen an option you must reboot before you can use the other option.
