question about forum site

I am thinking about starting a forum website of my own(not at all fta related). and I was hoping to find out if you use a service or how the site itself is created. also if I could, how many people it takes to run the site and/or how many man hours per week.

Thank you for any info.

that is rough!

That sounds scary, but is the forum template (for lack of a better word) something that you made from scratch? I figured that you probably built the site on top of something created for forum sites.

The site uses vBulletin software.
Do a google for vBulletin.

You will need a host service to host your site on.
There are some free ones but you get better service and support if you pay for hosting.
One other thing about hosting is that all of the free ones and most of the cheap ones and share servers which means that they host a lot of site on one server which could slow your site down so you may want to talk to a host service about a dedicated server depending on how large your site will be and how much money you want to invest.

Oh by the way vBulletin software cost too but there are some free softwares out there that do the same thing maybe not as secure as vBulletin.
