I have two 54" dishes. One for 110 and one for 119 hee in PR. The 119 comes in fine but the 110 is extremely hard to pinpoint and most of the time is out of center. I was wondering if anyone knew of larger dish availability. I remember in the 1980s that I had a mold to make 12' dishes out of fiberglass and aluminun. I was wondering if anyone had specs of how to build one at about 7' large for the 110. I also have a 12' C-band Orbitron wiremesh and would like to know if I can set it up and just use my FTA lnb or do I need to stick a circular feed. I don't need to have C-band.

Guys, 18" dish can get 110 and 119 without problems. You just need to align it properly ( and use circular LNB ).

Cut down the trees or mount them to trees and get a extra long cable line,or perhaps try to use a tall mount on roof.

okay look, this thread was started where i was "asking" if we can have a poor man's dish section created for the members.
Looker started one for PHOTOs ONLY.

they say a picture is worth a thousand words so i suggest anyone trying to do a setup to just look at the pics and emulate it. walk around your neighbourhood and look where your neighbours are pointing to, simple right?

thread closed.
