A suggestion to Moderators

Would it be possible to split the FTA Center in the FTA support to individual types?
I have a sonicview 1000 & 4000, really not that interested in the 8000
A sub menu under sonicview to each of the brands for discussion
Ex. Sv1000
Sv4000
Pvr1000
Sv8000
Along with common files
To me I would think it would make it easier to locate your specific needs
Thanks

Not sure if that would help that much as there are common items between the boxes and when that happens you'd have three threads, as it is when we go down we end up with 10 posts asking are we down so then we'd have 30 threads. I have seen some other sites do it, BUT they generally only support a VERY few receivers whereas we have a lot more, so for someone with say a viewsat they'd be scrolling down for pages and pages...

it may be something to consider in the future. i perfer the structure currently as you can get your message to all sonicview users in just one thread/section. no one thus gets left behind.
thanks for the suggestion, again perhaps in the future.

I, personally would like to get " Old possums" take on this. After all he is a wise possum and is only playing dead. Sorry Oly, I just can't get that off my brain!

On a serious note I've been on many sites that do this and find I don't like it. As mentioned usually there's a commonality between boxes of the same manufacture that gets lost in a structure like that.

An easy way to seperate the threads about sonicview 1000 and 4000 from the others would be to go to the sonicview discussion section, in the upper right you will see "Search this Forum" Click that and enter "1000+4000" and it will only display the threads with 4000 and 1000 in them, it will considerably narrow your hunt down. That is one of the little tricks I have learned over the years, hope it helps.

raj45, first off, your post is considered thread jacking (see the site rules). It has nothing whatsoever to do with the original post about creating seperate sections for different Sonicview IRDs.

Second, all of the bin files are located in the appropriate Files section, they are not emailed to the members on request.

Consider this a warning for Threadjacking and it may very well be considered "Bin Begging" as well.

Sorry I’ve been out of town (the four letter word WORK) but once again I find myself wading through trying to find interesting point of reference. I would be nice if people could put the type of SV in the front description. Not to say that I don’t read the others – but it would be nice to find quickly on the front page not have to dig deep into each thread for reference the SV that they are testing.

Thanks

Not complaining just my observation
