Bin posting

It would be a lot less trouble if bin files that do not specifically benefit DN not be posted here. It opens up a can of worms and sends a lot of people to the "reading room".

i know what you mean wrangler.but if this people would read the files first they would see what was going on.most of this people are the one's that didn't read the rules to start with.you can lead a horse to water but you can't make it drink.

If we didnt post new files, testers would complain that there are new files but not posted here.we dont want to be blamed for with holding files .just read the release notes, and the rules,

Thats my point. People don't read the release notes or rules. I just thought it would be a lot easier than posting info that is forbidden here. Of course you don't want to lose members over it but after awhile I think it would be a lot less work for mods. And speaking of hard working mods, I'm making this my Oly appreciation week. Anybody else who wants to express their gratitude feel free to join me.

Your very welcome Oly! Since you became a mod you have worked your butt off. Although, you did that even before then.

Water

Wrangler: It is like the old saying you can lead a horse to water but you can't force him to drink it. If we didn't post the new releases, then we would spend all our energy defending that decision, and UNLESS a bin specifically says it is for the off limits, how do we confirm that to be the case?

So it is less work to post the file and then warn 2 - 3 members and if it continues then ban perhaps a few I would rather have to ban a VERY VERY VERY few than justify the decision to 5,000 members

I guess this is what you could call a "catch 22". You could move the server and all the mods to the Bahamas. Then you could discuss anything. I would be glad to help you move and clean up the bathrooms if I could hang around.

Don't forget that new releases also contain new fixes that aren't provider-dependent (like channel round, etc.). So we do get the updates that way.
