I like it as well. It could be made to fit across the entire top of the page (up to the VIP banner).

Check this out guys..

Take a look and see what has changed on /index.html over the years..

Its not that old, but could def use a revise. Then again, its like seeing the ford emblem on a ford vehicle..I've grown used to the 'feel' and look of rookie over tha years. Some of these fta sites think the more stuff to click on, the more members will join..and i hope rookie doesnt decide to move in this direction..you can only stuff so many links and pictures into one page...

But that banner does look really good...

It is a nice logo huys and I'd put it up for a test, but Dal decided to put a watermark into it, so it won't be going up until that watermark is removed.

Thanks. Falcon

I'm not sure how rights go, but by donating that banner to rookie for use by the site, wouldn't anyone doing such work be prone to "any such use exacts right by the site owner or administrators to change, modify, or remove any names, pictures, logos, or other related media due to the nature of the FTA industry and business maneuvers/changes in said industry. By agreeing to allow dssrookie to use any 'designed' logo, you relinquish all rights, implied or non-implied, and shall have no bearing on what could be changed, added, or removed due to the changes mentioned herein."

That may not be something exactly along the lines of the disclaimer(s), but there would be a disclaimer or waiver of right, amirite Falcon? Seeing how FTA changes with "this brand" in bed with "that brand" and so on, the future might require that names be changed, added, removed...anything along that line, or in such cases where support diminishes...

I would not design something like this for a site, then expect to have rights to it, since the images used are not images that I would own personally. using logo's of a company/model of box in a banner doesn't give anyone the right to call those logo's their own work, or imply copyrights on them...

Iono how the laws are for this type thing, since image and use of laws are so picky....but putting a watermark across it...hmm.

I suppose one "could" remove the watermark, but why should we have to bother?

If someone wants his work shown on the site, it's no longer their property, although they would get full acknowledgement and kudos for it.

Thats exactly right if its going to be displayed in a public forum then you relinquish all rights to it......

Something maybe to consider...my home site held a "contest" for a new banner and a new logo. The new logo contest was eventually axed but the banner one generated some stiff competition. Then the members voted on who's was the best. I forget the prize but I think it was something like a year vip membership or something along those lines.....

I hope Dalmatinac changes his mind, otherwise he's done all that work for nothing.

It's a nice logo/banner... Regardless of whether it gets posted or not, he's done a very nice and professional looking job.

Maybe remove the watermark which looks it reads "example" and put in the corner "created by: Dalmatinac"? I mean certainly rookie wouldn't mind if he wanted to put his nic unobtrusively in the corner?
