dalmatinac oh dont go getting the hair on the back of your neck standing on end... the great thing about this site is that people do contribute and on many things a little tweak here or there as a consensus, reflects everyone's efforts. Everythings starts as a idea and blossoms from there! Heck by the time we decide what's going up top the boss may want to change the whole color scheme of the site! lmao.. ( sorry boss)

Hold on a second Damatinac! Let me give you some factual history!

You designed a banner, which I gave full credit to and would again, were we to use your design for anything. And I thank(ed) you for it.

But you decided to put a watermark in it, whether to advertise anything or not, that is simply not acceptable to this or I expect any other site.

I had PM'd you and had messages in this thread to have you remove it. You have NOT responded to anything.

You posted a link to your banner-file openly and some of the members liked it. Since you still haven't responded, one member was actually talented enough and liked this site enough to want to do something about it. He didn't modify yours, but created a similar one based on YOUR design. Nobody is taking that away from you. Frizzle is NOT calling it his own, nor is anybody else. It's your basic design with the watermark removed. Something you should NEVER have put in there if you wanted it exhibited!

If you look closely, Frizzle wrote in his first post "...If dalmatinac does not change his mind you can use this variation if you like " So you see, he never ever claimed it as his. You need to lighten up a bit.

Whether this revised banner, or a new one by you, or another with some great GIF makes it as the final dssRookie site is undecided, but you submitting an unuseable creation, then complaining about it could have been avoided, by either;

don't produce anything you can be proud of, or
don't put any watermakrs or ads in something you expect others to exhibit

It's your design! You want to finish it? Create something different? We welcome your talents and I personally thank you for your efforts.

Frankly, complaining and being bitter about somebody fixing your incomplete logo, without it being anyone else's fault... Well... Perhaps a THANKS would be more in order...

BTW... To all concerned, we will be having a dssRookie Banner and Logo Creation contest sometime in June....

Wow. what an attitude. Thats definitely one thing we got plenty of, and dont think we need much more. If it was a misunderstanding, why not just say "hey, sorry guys. I put the watermark because i'm used to doing that, but i can remove it."..and that would've been all you had to say.

Instead, you come where no one knows you, and folks here have to be careful of who is trusted, and post you want to help..then design a banner, which has unacceptable design flaws in it.

This is a community where you earn the trust of the people, you dont just start blathering about our TRUSTED members and accusing them of ripping of your work. You have NO idea who you are accusing of it, but if you did, and you had to depend on his work for [jon edit] to work...you might would reconsider your approach to this subject.

blah..i'm out ..i see enough ranting and raving / bashing / etc. People arent nice at all anymore.

Did not mean to ruffle any feathers, since the original post was 05-02-2009 I thought maybe you were not going to remove the watermark. I did not claim your work to be mine either, IN FACT I like yours BETTER. (although, would like to see cnx and kbox on it)
I only posted a variation JUST IN CASE that you decided NOT to remove the watermark. I am sorry if you thought that I was trying to steal and claim your work, I was only trying to help if you decided not to remove your watermark. No harm intended

Please respond to this thread. We are giving you every opportunity to come through with your logo/banner creation. If you want to finish it, you can!

If you choose not to, that's fine, it's your choice, but even then letting us know would be courteous. So we're not left waiting yet again for something, in some way, at sometime to materialize.
