"Dave" is Directv, which as wrangler pointed out did NOT go to nag3. Directv went with p4, and comparing the two is like comparing apples and oranges.

Sorry, you are very correct.

The idea is that the more that get on it, the more others will want to fix it.

I can guarentee that there is some sort of fix out there. When it will be released or what form it will take is anyones guess. Maybe the moneys not right or it's a little too hot now but something will happen in the future. All us poor endusers can do is wait and keep our wallets handy. As with all of my posts JMO! (I don't want to PO all of the optimitic noobs out there)!

Now again, Dave went to N3 and what did everyone do ??? Yep.. you got it right.. they went to the only other provider that was easily fixed.... Now that all the providers in the US have gone to N3 and most in the Euro area has also gone to N3 (do not get me wrong.. not all of them have), its much more in demand to get past the N3. The more that go to N3, the more the demand comes into play and more will want to figure it out.

Its a money game at the moment for some, and a sit back, read this post for others.

Go outside and split wood for the winter ladies/gents.. its going to be a decent wait. Something (notice I said something.. could be N3 fix or something completely different) will come along soon for us to tinker around with...

Besides Euro, our northern provider went to N3 a couple of months ahead of us too. And, until this time...we are still...waiting! Now, the fix may or MAY NOT come, who knows!!! I'm, like most of us here, are educated based on what we read. We don't know any coders, are we certainly do not have any insider news. Therefore, we can only base our opinion on the limited information that we can obtain. And base on that limited information that I have (along with the history of the game), I really can't see a fix coming out.

And by the way, between my posts (a few days apart), the price of FTA boxes has gone down further on ebay!!!! If you are going to pick up a FTA box, ebay has...A LOT of those with good price. But then again, why would you buy one now?

I have read the post from this site and others, please be paitent people. There is one out there that is nothing but bull, and another that has members fighting. And one that says IKS is the tops(trying to move recievers i bet).

It is good that this does not go on here. TV is not worth friends.

Thank goodness for free speech and opinions, as long as they are in good taste. We get comments from optimists and pessimists. I tend to be in the latter group for a number of reasons. And, although I respect those who think a fix is right around the corner, I wouldn't want to see people encouraged to spend money and buy new equipment that might not work for anything except true FTA.
