I really do not know too much about CNX using IKS but when they were using the stand alone fixes before N3 they had an awesome array of receivers. Should they be any where near how the stand alone fixes were working then they will jump right to the fore front with IKS.

having sat on the side lines hoping for a stand alone fix since the switch to N3 and coming here to read up and watching basic cable for the time , have been giving the idea of IKS some serious consideration , found this post very informative and easy to follow . thanks for the info . keep up the good work .

Don't count on waiting for a N3 standalone fix anytime soon or your testing days are over. If you decide on IKS go with nFusion. It is common logic here folks. They have experience (IKS for a few years now), security, amazing stability, user friendly and more channels and PPV events than any other stb. And Dec 1st they plan to have DN wide open, all channels.

I got my nfusion solaris a week ago & I'm very pleased with it. If my kbox got locals I might not have got it. My sonicview has a nice spot in the closet, I would have never thought that.

Security ?

You have to tell us about this... Must be something new or just the same lie thats been around since the proxy option was added ?

Dont hold your breathe until Dec 1st either... Many of nfusions past "due dates" have not happened....

Read both boxes forums

Its really just only Television. if the decision to buy which box is so tough -maybe one should Sub. Really one box rocking over the other is kinda off the chain. They both work! I bought both of my boxes. So I can be totally impartial. My opinion, for thats all anyone can give, is that when they are working you more than certainly can watch TV. With only a few boxes using IKS its apparent that they all want to capture the market of folks tired of waiting for a standalone fix. With that in mind u better believe whatever box comes out with added features the other boxes won't be to far behind. There are certain things about both boxes that could be improved but being a pirate,as i am, I guess I can't write to Charlie and tell him he should let us whack him harder.

Oh Boy, Here we go again Dont hold your breath on Viewsat or a standalone either cause that will never happen. Once a standalone comes out it will be shot quickly. You can bank on that.

is this post not breaking a rule by bashing another receiver brand by stating that they lie and give false hope by not meeting past and future (Dec 1st) dates, by reading the site rules it seems this post would be a clear violation of rule (b), by reading this post it is not helping no one and mis-leading unsuspecting members by not telling the truth and talking down about nfusion, if I were to post this it would be considered a form of bashing and the post would be removed in a flash and there would be consequences as well for myself, let's be fair, the rules should be the same for everyone don't you think?....

RULE#4
NO Flaming or Bashing Policy.
(a) Flaming of Mods/Admins at this site is an instant BAN.
(b) dssRookie is not a home base for ANY manufacturer. We support all brands. Therefore we will no longer tolerate the outright bashing that has currently been going on here and have adopted the following policy: (c)
(c) NO Bashing, Flaming, Harassing, Bothering, Talking down to, or Threatening this site, its members, sponsors, Visiting Admins/Mods from other Forums, manufactures or their Representatives, as well as 3rd party software coders such as BL (Blacklist), Norw-Group, or any others.
These posts/replies will be deleted without notice.
If we find you are a repeat offender, you WILL be banned. I also do not need complaints from any other forums and their Admins, therefore do not disrespect other forums. Do NOT let DN divide the testing community. That is what they want.
