as you can see i have both the kbox and Phoenix. I only use the Phoenix about one night a week because of where it is setup in my house. last night is the Phoenix night and no problems, all sports channels. I also came from nova and was very very happy with it. guess i have phoenix 4 months. It is easy setup and did not have the hub issues. Kbox does have nice picture. It appears that the new bin file with take away the problems with the hub for good ...

the reason for the nfusion freezing is due to more channels being added, the only time there is excessive freezing is when new channels are being added and of coarse when there are server issues, right now new channels are being added causing the freezing people are seeing, nfusion is adding channels when they are ready where as other brands of receiver's are just staying idol and seem to be content with what they are offering, nfusion has a plan and a goal to restore all channels by Dec 1st and until then anyone using an nfusion will see the odd time where freezing will occur, it is not a server issue because the system works flawlessly when the team is not doing anything to the servers, the kbox is running very well for the last while with no real issues except for the hub disconnects which should now be resolved with the latest file that was released a couple of days ago, there is no freezing that I have noticed and all around the kbox runs very well, the picture is very good but no better than other SD fta receiver's as some will argue, only my opinion as others will have theirs, the kbox will never compare to the picture the nfusion HD can produce as some are suggesting and posting that there is no real difference in picture quality between the kbox and nfusion HD which is simply an impossibility when comparing SD to HD 480i to 720p/1080i,
if looking to purchase an SD receiver than there are a few to choose from, kbox, nfusion, CNX and I-Link, and sonicview being last but they are trying to make a comeback as of late with reports of some progress,
if you are looking for an HD receiver then there is only one right now that is worth getting which is the nfusion HD, sonicview does have an HD unit but the stability is still in question where as the nfusion is proven to be a solid HD receiver with an excellent picture, despite many who constantly repeat that nfusion only has 10 HD channels working in any post they can squeeze it into but the fact is there are many more than 10 HD channels working and anyone who tells you differently is lying or has a different agenda, you will see posts saying they can not justify or fathom spending the additional money for an HD receiver when only 10 HD channels are working even though it has been proven many times over that nfusion has closer to 80 HD channels working including NHL HD and NBA HD sports channels with more to come,
read as much as you can and from different forums as you will gain a better understanding of what each receiver offers and the pros and cons for each, all boxes have their positives and negatives about them and it comes down to which receiver best suits your personal interests and has what you are looking for, that is what you should ultimately make your decision on as you will read many biased posts about specific receivers which will all say that this box is better than that box and giving no real reason as to why....

fdels, I can agree to what I can attest to. Just got my kbox. It plays solid, easy to setup and pic is good for a SD stb. Compared to my other stbs its tied with cnx mini and icon and pannies, bettter than CW800s and VS ultralite but not as good as my SV's. Only little difference but noticable. It could not be compared to HD box of any kind or even to OTA from local stations. I may be in the mood for another HD box in a few months if SV can"t get it together but by then another HD stb may be available. We'll see what happens

Here's my NFusion experience. I am able to have one for a week. Last night, I couldn't get any locals, which meant I couldn't watch the World Series. I couldn't get any PPV, Sport, or NHL...meaning no watch my favorite/local hockey team play last night. Of course there was another hockey game on tho which I didn't care about. UFC on Spike froze up throughout and I missed the dust up between Rishad and Rampage. Also, If I want to watch Fedor fight on CBS on Sat night, I can't on my Nfusion. Forgive me for saying this, but I'm not going to risk a fine or jail time for a fricken Nfusion. I'll stick with my sub thankyou very much.

They all get you to where u want to go. Both boxes are working I know I bought both of my boxes. I have no axe to grind or do I feel the need to promote one over the other.Right now they both are working and they pretty much get the same channels that I watch. Both boxes work and they get what i want. So the the debate continues. Remember one day a hero next day a Zero. What makes me buy the same brand of car is how the dealer treats me after i take it home. Recently i contacted nfusion for a RMA to send a box back under warranty. I have since fixed the box myself but as of today i still have not recieved the RMA. Will not jump to conclusions as of why its taking them so long. I will post when they do finally contact me.
