KBOX and Nfusion Comparison

I was an original tester for both the Nfusion HD and the KBOX Pro (The KBOX Pro was the prototype for the KBOX Prodigy). Now after many hours of testing each receiver I have come to the conclusion that for all around dependability, performance, ease of setup, price, guarantee, support, closed caption which only KBOX has, and operation my overwhelming choice is the KBOX.
I am not saying the Nfusion HD is not a good receiver but at the present time you will only be able to watch 9 HD channels on DN and all those channels are available on SD. I also connected both receivers up side by side to compare picture quality and do not let anyone tell you there is a large difference in picture quality between the Nfusion HD when it is receiving HD and the Kbox using the SD. Yes there is a very small difference in picture between HD and SD but it is so slight you would hardly even notice the difference on a HD Television. I really do not think it is worth the extra $250 to $300 DOLLARS you would have to pay for the Nfusion HD receiver.

Kbox has a few channels on 61.5w.... but most internationals are up on 118w.

I dont think any HD untit has the eastern arc open. Hd channels would be from sat 129w if any.

No its not wireless but you can use a wireless print server or powerline adapters to avoid running cables

Jim,

That is a nice post. It would be great if you can add some channel related information.

Do they both have same number of english channels?
Number of Internation channels and there consistency of keeping them up running most of the time?
Does any one have ppv?
Does any one have xxx?
Down time if any?
Support when it comes to channel request?

Thanks

Eagle, Nfusion has more channels but Kbox has more international channels.
Both receivers have limited freezing.
The KBOX and the Nfusion do not have free PPV
Both Boxes have XXX
Both boxes you only get what is on the card. The coders only get the channels they think most people will enjoy.

I disagree with Jim

I like my nfusion more than my kbox. But the great thing about this is that we all don't have to like the same things. So even though i disagree with Jim i respect his right to like the box he likes. I shall not rag either box There are pros and cons with both of them. So until something breaks with the nag3 fix i guess this debate will continue.

Mr. Jim, @ the present I am testing 250sm, Have been for a couple years, Don't have anything to test on with 250sm now, I am thinking about the Kbox, Should I hold onto 250sm, Which has no support or go ahead and get the Kbox? I like the way you think about these boxes...............Thanks
