Thank everyone for the info, yes i had them to go ahead an hook up the phone line too save the five bucks. My ex brother sets up d--- for a liveing, an he told me that the only way you would get caught is if you were selling something, witch i'm not. But now my question is, the left one cable not hooked up, they said to test if they needed too, can I use that cable to hook-up my fta? And would they not check it unless i called them an told them that i was haveing some kinda problem? Thanks for any help you could give me..

Just because your ex brother? sets up DN doesn't make him an expert in cardsharing. There is a very real risk involved and I would suggest that you listen to the people who know to what lenghts a provider will go to to nail endusers. We have had experience in this from what happened in the past with a lot less evidence.

I assume you're refering to a coaxial connection. Is it for a valid sub IRD? You can always test it yourself by hooking your sub box up to it and see if it works. If it does, yes, it will work for your FTA STB.

Also note the birds that are used for a sub are NOT pointed at true FTA birds.
