Not sure how easy the DTV Mexico LNBs are to find. What I do know is that the CB2008A LNB is circularly polarized and has a local oscillator frequency of 10750 MHz.
FSS frequencies from ANIK F3 are converted to the 950-1450 MHz band and DSS frequencies from EchoStar 7 are converted to the 1450-1950 MHz band. FTA receivers accept input channels from 950-2150 MHz, so it will accept signals from both satellites, with no switching required. I have a CB2008A, and it works great.
However, you won't get all the channels on 118.7 unless you have a 31" or larger dish.

If my current dish at 119W is dual LNB, can I connect the unused LNB to the DisEq switch and scan Anik FR1 with VSPlatinum to get 118.75? Seems logical but I am a rookie.

i have a dish39 (90 cm) pointed at what could get me banned 97 118.7 119 and u can add 82 and 110 with braket all in one
with special LNB, you can get BOTH 118 and 119 at the same time 118° (Circular 10750) dual LNB
for 118.7 i use sat anik E1 in my sv 4000
when u scan 118.7 use this setup
sat anik E1 for sv1000/4000 or anikF3 for others box
lnb standard
freq lnb 10750
diseqc port 2

sat echo 7 119
lnb standard
freq 11250
diseqc port 2
only on cable from lnb to switch

for 118.7u get all chanel with no name u must rename all chanels

No. You need to pick up a special LNB, such as the CB2008A. It will give you all the channels on both 118.7 and 119 satellites. It has a local oscillator frequency of 10750 MHz, instead of the usual 11250 MHz L.O.s that most DSS LNBs use.
Your receiver may already have the 118.75 transponders in memory, but if not, go to Lyngsat.com and bring up the listing for Dish Network at 119 degrees. It will list both sets of transponders. ANIK F3 frequencies are the lower ones (11700-12200) and EchoStar 7 frequencies are the higher ones (12200-12700).

I just replaced dixh 500 with 500 plus. I am using Homefc mighty sat file . I am not bale to lock 118.7. any idea on what I am doing wrong. When i select Anik3. and try port 1 or port 2 or port3 , I am getting only 119 or 110 but the 118.7 is not getting locked. Any help is great.

Looks like your sat ANIKF3 actually is looking at 119 on this port# on switch. Be sure on which port is each sat. My VS shows me 119 and 110 locked correctly... but 118.7 shows nothing, but I'm sure my port settings. So even VS shows me nothing (Signal 60%, Quality 40%) I've got all 118.7 channels !!!

What I've done is add the 118.7 satellite to my list. Under Antenna Settings, I use the exact same settings as the 119 satellite (10750 LNB frequency for my CB2008A and the same diSEqC switch position).

For the 118.7 satellite, I put in the follwing 16 transponders, all with 20000 SR and Auto FEC:
11715V, 11728H, 11745V, 11789H, 11959V, 11989V, 12002H, 12032H, 12050V, 12063H, 12081V, 12093H, 12111V, 12124H, 12142V and 12154H. Then, I do a Network Scan.

I didn't bother with the high-def transponders, at least for now. With my 90-cm dish and CaptiveWorks receiver, I get 90-100 Signal readings and 51-84 Quality readings.

How did you add the 118.7 to the sat list?. with the new Mighty sat file I have a problem, It shows 118.7 but I don't get lot of channels which I get with Scooters sat file. Is there a way to add 118.7 to scooters sat file?

I'm not familiar with that sat file. I went to the Edit Satellite Menu and put in the transponders in manually.
What dish size are you using? With an 18" dish, I get only 8 transponders. My 36" dish gets all 16.
