internet compatible attachments

Is there anyone out there marketing an accessory to add to existing FTA units to allow an internet connection thru UBS and be able to process it to an FTA unit?

I hear that NFusion is the way to go...(I have seen it in action)...however for us old timers with 2007 equipment....someone must be trying to market an internet attachment.

Iks

I assume what you are asking is there a device which can be plugged into a units USB and allow it to connect to a IKS server? The short answer is NO. It would not work unless someone also wanted to set up their own server to allow for the IKS similar to the nFusion servers. You can NOT access the IKS servers with another box as the servers check the unit via the net for an "Authorized" MAC address of the unti to authorize the box to connect.

If you read many of the threads in the nFusion forum you will see this unit also has been experiencing issues of late as well. Also there may not be much demand for a device as this for it would also no doubt just as the nFusion does EXPOSE your ip to being traced. Given that there is NO other reason to connect to the IKS servers other then to decode the encrypted, meaning IF at any point the provider gets your info you will have no viable, reasonable excuse for accessing the server.

Thanks hedo. You may be right, for now, but as technology changes there may become a way in order to bridge this new challenge. Regarding IP exposure, I have read that an off shore service is providing IP scrambles to help in reducing exposure and tracking of individual's IP location. Who knows how long this will last though.
