How to get two signals with one satellite?

Right now I have one satellite set up which has one LNB and two wires coming out of it to two different receivers... i am testing echo8,10...

I've looked at pictures that have an additional LNB attached to original LNB by tape etc, in order to receive signal 119...

I was wondering how i would go about doing that? Do i just attach the extra LNB i have and start moving it around until I receive a signal?

Any advice?

Well, there are no two signals from one satellite.
A simple equation is 1 lnb= 1 satellite.
If you are receiving echo 8,10, and want to add echo 7, you will need an additional lnb. You can look through the poor mans setup, or get yourself a "Y yolk and a "skewable dish" Apart from the two being 9 degrees apart in "azimuth" they are also at different elevations. If you are only using a single lnb, a diseqc switch will be needed.
Post back a little more about your setup. Setups vary from user to user.
You may also want to change to a "twin" type lnb.

thanks ringman...

Well i have TWO LNBS and one satellite... right now i have two receivers..

I'm trying to get two signals onto one receiver first then I'll figure out how to get the same thing on the 2nd receiver...

----------------------------
Right now my set up is as follows:
I have two receivers, one dish and one LNB...
-both receivers are set up with a wire coming from the same LNB to both(there are two wire slots in the single LNB)

What i want to achieve:
To receive two signals with one satellite and two LNBS onto one receiver..

I hope that isn't confusing

2 sats

if your useing a dish with no skew you will have to go the poormans dish ,if dish has no skew or you can get a bracket that attaches to the LNB that will give the elevation for 119. hope this helps

P.S. you can get that bracket on fleabay pretty cheap

We need to know what type of lnb and if DN installed it. If it's a DP twin then nothing else is needed.

its pretty simple. if you look at these
http://www.dssrookie.com/forums/foru...ion-79672.html
119 is about an inch and a half higher than 110. tape, velcro, wire ties etc all work pretty well. just set up your reciever for 119 and place the lnb next to 110 and move it a bit til you get a good signal. secure it and scan it. you'll need a decent switch but if only going to one unit an sw21 or diseqc will do fine. have some fun with it
