diplexer switch problem

hey guys I have a superdish setup pointed at 110 119 121 and a dp34 switch setup to send out to 4 viewsat receivers, i recently added diplexer switches for 2 of the rooms in the house so that i can run cable and sat together. Unfortunately I dont have the ability to run both cables to the tv so i had no choice but to use the switches. Ive noticed since doing so that my viewsats are unable to pull half the channels it use to and if i do a scan it barely picks up any channels at all. Is there any solution to fix this other then running the cable without the switch. Is there a way to power the dp34 switch or use any other switch that doesnt require as much power? And yes I know the more switches i have the less signal i will get because of power consumption but at this point i dont have a choice if i want both running at the same time.

you need to use 2 diplexers and run 1 cable to tv and the other to your reciever, then use comp cables from tv to reciever.

Diplexers are not compatible with FTA boxes. I have yet to hear of anybody combining cable and sat into one coax and have it work.

I was under the impression that diplexers don't work so I always stayed away from them. Thanks panek75, learned something new every day.
