How to connect to another receiver?

I'm currently using 110 and 119 on a single receiver. I want to have another receiver in another room. How do I connect the cable?

Nice diagram dss max
With all of the people wanting to connect 2 recievers lately this looks like a good sticky.

I agree nice diagram but as Ann is running a twin LNB system she will need to add a diseqc type switch to allow double LNB to receiver connections.

Good point.
I'll see if I can draw up something for 2 duals and twins.
I'll update this post when I do.

Update:Ok lets see how this looks.
I used 2 x1 switches here but you can use 4 x 1 switches also.
In the diagram here you would set the diseqc settings in receiver 1 (Existing Receiver) to 110 = port#1 and 119 = port#2
Then set receiver 2 (2nd Receiver) the same way.

Can you run the signal for the receiver thru standard CATV splitters and then to the second receiver? What I am asking is, can you connect the cable from the lnb to the old cable wiring of the house that contains a standard TV splitter in the attic (That I can not get to) then connect a receiver (as long as you only connect it to one receiver)?

I doubt it very much, cable wire's a thinner gauge so the signal will drop right off the bat, actually I just got an inline amplifier just to satify myself of whether or not it boosts the signal and it does 10-15% in my case, but a catv splitter is a definite no no.

most box have a loop through from the back of the box. I mean if u have cable run fron the disqe switch down to the first receiver and right next to the cable in there is a loop through (out) to another receiver. Or as some one mention u can use the split. But u have to buy from radioshack that have i think 2250 mhz. Regular cheap split (1 in ----2 out) only exceed 900 mhz. u will lose level or signal.
