has anyone heard of NEOSAT iPRO-1000

Here is what they bost about. sounds to good to be true, any comments?

NEWSFLASH: For EVERYONE/ANYONE out there literally Starving for the new bin files or updates, STOP WAITING, The New 2006 NEOSAT iPRO-1000 is finally here! Never before has a PERMANENT SOLUTION to the temporary bin file problem been available, that is until now. We’ve heard your complaints ladies and gentlemen, and your resolution is in stock now. That’s right. No more Updates, No more Delays, no more Satellite frequency adjustments affecting your viewing pleasure. THIS IS IT, the very last FTA receiver that you will ever buy in your life without question. I’m dead serious; this will NEVER EVER require any update. The NEOSAT iPRO-1000 needs no fixes, no bin files, It IS THE FIX! Never before has this even been a possibility. This unit blows away any/all of the competitors receivers, how could they possibly compete with no updating? What lies can they tell you to get you to pass this up? Not only does this model still offer the RS-232C cable setup offered by all 2nd generation FTA receivers on the market that we all become so accustomed to; the brand new 2006 NEOSAT iPRO-1000 has self-updating Firmware now Upgradeable through the Internet via Ethernet Port

Regarding the Neosat. Read between the lines and understand how satellites work. When an ECM comes down (electronic counter measure) from Charlie, it will affect *ALL* FTA receivers. Yes, I said ALL.

Neosat is no exception. They will need a fix like all others, to get back to watching. Whether that is via an rs232 serial cable or over the internet may be the only difference.

My view is Ariza doesn't have original FTA receivers. They steal the code of others and modify it. These are the same guys who made and dropped support on the Blackbird. For this reason alone I wouldn't touch them. Who knows when they would stop support on your favourite Ariza model, in order to sell you a NEW updated model.

Most Tv Time

VIEWSAT, I have a coolsat that is out right cold..... If I had known earlier that by choosing Viewsat I would be able to watch 30 to 40 more days of TV a year than all the other receivers. I would have bought viewsat. I did not know that and I bought coolsat......SO I sit here watching the wind blow and zero movies...nota nothing.

Viewsat all the way

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi Gang,
Iam a newbie here and a (used to be a ) proud owner of Fortec Lifetime Ultra STB. Now I wish i should have boaught a Viewsat stb.I don't see any indication the Fortec fix is coming soon. However, the folks here are tremondous people and I am sure someone will come out with it. Since I want to be cautious about the future attecks by Charlie, I am wondering if anyone can suggest me a good quality reliable receiver? HD programming increasing and Dolby digital output is becoming a common one. Any suggestion on a receiver which is capable handling HD ?
regards
Mike
