Some more common FAQs about HD

I've done my fair share of reading up on these forums, and I noticed that many people suggested a 110/119/129 set up for getting HD (if one were to purchase a common FTA HD receiver, such as VS 9000 or Sonicview, Nfusion, etc. etc.).

However, I have a DN set up where the satellites are pointed to 110/119/118(Anik F3)/61.5; in which, I presume, that 61.5 is the source of our HD channels, and 118 is definitely the source for international channels. The main question is, would the 61.5 set up (the one I have) work if I were to simply buy a FTA HD receiver?

If I were to purchase a VS 9000HD, along with a turbo 8psk (which I wonder if anyone can provide me a reliable website for purchasing one), what else I would need to get started? Am I just better off getting a Dish Network HD receiver, paying for the service, and getting a standard receiver for all the PPV/International channels?

If anyone has recommendations besides the VS 9000HD on why they would choose another model, I would like to read your opinions. We used to use coolsat 5000/6000s but obviously the support for those models have diminished over time, and I obviously am seriously considering an upgrade.
