ok whats this and whats it used for?????
000_2380.JPG 000_2381.JPGfound in the big trash pickup seen alot of computer stuff by the road stopped and looked and found them with a bunch of different cards took em home with me i am not into cards YET can this stuff still be used and what for? or should it go right back in the trash? got about 30 different dtv@dn receivers and cards too i took them all!! good find or wasted time? did take all the computer stuff too im a packrat!!

Hmmm Looks like someone got a letter or busted and wanted to dump the evidence FAST!
Look like programmers and atmega cards???? Only guessing but I would hang onto them  Dumpster diving can be fun! I once found a .22 take down rifle in the community dumpster. spent 2 hours finding all the pieces as it was stripped down to the bones,,,, found it all LUCKY as it was a Armalite AR-7 .22 rifle! The one that folds and stores in a floating stock!

he he he well its gone fast because i grabbed it as fast as it got put out to the road yep i know all about dumpster diving!! last year i found a truck load of G.I.JOE stuff(people moved out put it in the trash) i made BIG JACK off of that find!!you never know what people put in the trash!!

The one with the card in it is an ISO card reader/ programmer - probably a dave one that used 3.57 Mhz crystal but it might be a dual. Dish card need a 3.68 Mhz crystal.
The other unit is a bootstrap that was used for Black Sunday cards - if you were around in the dave days then you will know what I mean. Update: When I zoomed in on it - I can see dual so it must be a dual. BTW the card is a DTV "H" card and no good anymore. The programmer is still usable.

yep it says CPR DUAL on it 3.5@3.6 there is a cord that was with it looks like a null cable and theres a spot that looks like for a power cord(male) what amount of power should it use? i need something new to get into so i need to do some reading i see never done cards before but would like to get into it just to learn. he he he im sure i have a card here that can be used(as i said im a pack rat) were should i start reading? thanks guys for the help its what i thought it was and that's great i always wanted to learn this but was scared to order the stuff.

yep i know i have some learning to do .i know j-taging so there is a plus and i have 50 old dn receivers with cards and card less so i am off to a good start!! fta is so easy anymore got into fixing pannys its easy now so im off to new worlds now. im sure its not a over night thing but i bet i get it down in time he he he i have been saving all this stuff for a reason now i have it!! you guys don't know how Manny fights i got into with my wife because she wanted me to get rid of all of it. my basement is packed!!every yard sale,goodwill stores,buddies throwing them out, big trash pickup i have grabbed them up and put them away for years!! glad i did now!! as i said thanks guys for the info!!
