New guy from Canada

Hello to all,
As a new member to this site I want to say,"Hello". Its been along time since I've been looking around for a GOOD sight to join. Especially with all the changes that have been going on in the world of satellites.
I have the Nfusion Nova, the SV 360P, VSUltra, Eaglstar Pro 33" dish, Invacom LNB, and some other stuff.
I want to buy the Nfusion Phoenix next, but heard through the grapevine that it was going to die in about a year........any truth that?
Hello again from Canada!

welcome 87pontiac,
enjoy the site, as far as the Phoenix goes there are no gurantees when dealing with fta and third parties but being that the Phoenix is only one year old I highly doubt the Phoenix will be going anywhere any time soon, if I had to guess I would think the Solaris would be the first to be let go being it is on the low end of the scale between the two(Phoenix and Solaris)

the Phoenix is a great receiver and you will find nfusion's support to be excellent, nfusion currently has more channels working than any other iks receiver that is working today, nfusion is continuously adding channels with a full dn channel line-up expected to be working by Dec 1st,09
the nfusion team has been concentrating on the remaining international channels that are not active at this time, once the rest of the internationals are added to the existing channels that are working no other iks receiver will have more channels than nfusion has to offer

Its nice to have good neighbors

As someone just starting out in this hobby, there is so much to learn, eg: c band ku band, circular linear, what equipment does what.....it can be a little daunting and overwhelming to someone like me, but, I'm glad to have help from expierenced people here in this forum. For example, with what I have what are the capabilites of the equipment:

Nfusion Nova
VS Ultra
SV360P

Invacom LNB (QPH 031)
Eagle Star Universal Dual LNBF (5 of them)
DigiWave Ku Band DGl 900D LNB (1 only)

Eaglstar Pro 30" Dish
Eaglestar Pro Elliptical Dish (small)
Wave Frontier T 90 Dish

Adapter for 3 lnb's for one dish

4 x1 DisEqc 1.2 Control Switch (Seagate)

Stag HH 90 Motor (just died recently)

Surely with this stuff I should be able to get some free channels. My location is:
48° 0' N 66° 40' W

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated, its seems like such a shame to have this stuff just lying around the basement.

87 Pontiac.. You have 3 receivers. Each receiver has a dedicated forum. If you have a question on how to set up your n fusion .you would ask that question in the n fusion forum . that way more members will be able to help you .this is just the intro forum..Happy testing...
