Had already tried rebooting numerious times - when a kbox/khub reboot doesn't work I automatically reboot my router/modem and the kbox/khub. This time it didn't work so decided to upgrade from 2.12 to 2.14.
After loading 2.14 and rebooting box, hub and router/modem first thing I got was khub not connected - wam bam thank you mam that probably meant I had a hot glue failure*. I powered off the kbox/khub front and back and removed khub from the kbox (there goes my hot glue effort* to keep it connected) then unplugged the ethernet cable from the khub and plugged it back in and then plugged the khub back into the kbox and jiggled it around abit for good luck (quack) and powered back up. Took a couple of moments with the checking please wait notice but then I got the module connection ok message and TV is back up! *I've had a connectivity issue with my Kbox and v2 Khub since I took it out of he box at the beginning of August. Was going down all the time with the red light comming on the Khub and module not connected notice. I would jiggle it around or repeatedly remove it and plug it back in and EVENTUALLY it would connect and I would be up again - so I finally decided to try a remedy on my own (bad hardware design it should have had 2 screws to secure it in place with the kbox). When I had a green light on the Khub and TV was working I used my hot glue gun and put a bead around the Khub/Kbox where it connects to the com port to hold it in place and that cured the problem until now - must have inadvertantly knocked that loose somehow but back up now - time to dig out the glue gun again and secure the dang khub once again to the box. |
