how to download movies from computer on hard drive and play it on kbox..

ok i put this thread on other sites.. and didn't got any good /little response..
here is what i wanna do..
i wanna download movies on my external hard drive [FROM INTERNET]and play it on kbox..
here is what i did and almost make it work...

movies from kbox are in T.S format..
so i recorded some stuff from my kbox, went to program called video reedit..
checked the parameters..
then i downloaded the program called super , download movies from internet converted movies from avi to ts format. and use same settting (video format etc) ..
and then i was able to play the video, but audio didn't work.
i was told to mannually change the audio to mpeg etc..,but i don't know how..
anyone tried anything like that?
i alreay have vga cable and i can directly enter in to mylaptop... but i wanna try using external harddrive..
any one can shed some light on this issue..(any simple , easy method..to do this)

and thanks in advance for help..

Let me

Let me look into it and ask some peeps who may know, I would have thought the audio would have been in the proper format already or at the very least when the file as converted you "would" expect the audio to be placed in the proper format.

Have you tried a program such as VLC or bitcontrol etc???

formats

They are video players/codecs which play many different formats, I use them primarily with my DB to play the stream as well as recorded shows from the HDD to my laptop.

Yep

No I got that, I am pretty sure they have video converter capabilities as well, although it has been a while since I last looked at them VLC is free so just google it and see if it will accomplish what you want. Bitcontrol licence is about $15 CDN but they offer a 15 day trial.. Not sure if they can do what your looking for and I can't get the peeps who may know just spit balling for now...

Kbox video is on ts format, for you to be able to watch any video with kbox it must be ts format, Hedo is right, you will need a video converter program like (total video converter, Xilisoft HD Video Converter, and so on) that will allow you to convert whatever video format you have to ts, then save the ts video format to you HD and play it with your Kbox, hope this help, Good luck.
