With the Pro....do you know if all the hubs come preactivated or do some need to be activated by the user?
And if they need to be activated by the user, is it still the black cable to activate, and white cable to connect to the receiver? |

As always only the 8003 and 9001 hubs need activating. The Prodigy uses a null modem cable to connect the weather forcaster hub... And as always the hubs are activated using the black Null cable.

For those who feel they need to know the PROdigy is just slightly smaller than the PLUS model
it is approx 1/4" shorter, 1/2" wider, 3/4" less deep than the PLUS. Also the rear connections have been moved, with the LNB in more in the center as opposed to the left, (looking at the rear plate), of the PLUS. |

This afternoon when I woke up, I checked my recordings and after the 10 or more I did above, I scheduled 3 more recordings over night. all 3 started at the right time but the final recording didnt stop. I did a factory reset and set my settings and scanned again and all is well. It seems that after a certain number of recordings that a factory reset is needed. I have experienced this on the Plus unit also and a factory reset helps correct the issue.
In the end, even if it does need factory resetting after 10 to 15 recordings, thats fine by me and I still consider the Plus/Pro to be the best PVR units Ive used. Great Job Kbox and excellent work by the coders also...
