Anyone getting reduced bills?

The satellite provider companies state in their lawsuits that piracy is costing them and their customers millions of dollars (which I doubted). Since it has been three months since N3 became fully operational, has any sub gotten a reduction in their bills? They should have since the subs are no longer being pirated thus they should be recouping millions of dollars for their customers from the new subs (according to their lawsuits). Or did the providers commit perjury in their claims?

Thanks Uhaul and Greenweed. You are proving my point. They are suing for themselves and not because signal snatching costs customers.

Satellite piracey costs all sub owners money, that's why eveyones bill went up. I have, and have had sub. Relying on any means for stealing a signal as your only means of watching TV is doomed to a lot of downtime and will cost the customers who sub more money. This hobby didn't start out to just be a means to screw a provider but rather a challenge to see if it could be done. Sorry for rambling but I'm just "old school" and know that testing will continue in some form. If the bulk of the 300,000+ people here decide to make the extra effort, I would be suprised. JMO!

How did they lose money to piracy where people cannot get a sub?

I like how they include every "estimated" pirate as a potential customer....using that analogy if I stole a brand new Cadillac does that mean I would of purchased the Cadillac if given the chance....very doubtful. Same holds true on satellite piracy just because one would pirate their signal doesn't mean if given the chance they would legally subscribe....

If your able to recieve the signal then there are other ways to sub. Besides, the vast majority of FTAers used it to replace their sub in order to not pay for it. If no one subbed, there wouldn't be anything to steal.
