I don't think they'll have a problem finding another distributor.
Remember it's not against the law to sell, distribute or even own one of these receivers.
What happen was the distributor got caught trying to buy a hack.

He was not busted for selling the receivers.

Oh yeah and as for IKS well I think you all know where I stand on that.
I would touch IKS with 100 foot pole.

That is because the rules there state no posting of anybody's personal info, not because of the nature of the info being posted.

Not a bad deal...

I wouldn't have a problem doing 5 years and fined $250,000 after making a couple million. Anyone have a ball park figure of how much viewtech made?

Especially Federal time... and if a fix is ever released, he's still be making money.

The 5 years are the maximum penalty, probably they could get a probatory or suspended sentence.

They can still operate the whole hacking game underground, while in jail. Because there is lot of money in this game.
IKS, be careful. i think the strategy is to kill the big distributor first, then iks and then finally fta websites. So be careful now what you write...

I really hate to be the bearer of bad news , but the providers have had a company out of Ontario logging and making screen shots of FTA sites for the past 5 years ( they recently cellibrated their 1 millionth screen shot taken ) , any post where a person said they were watching a certain channel , at a certain time , on any receiver was logged , as well as the " Thank You the file is working great , all channels up " posts , while it is not illegal to post asking for help with a set up , what TP a certain Channel may be on , or even to help a person set up a receiver , admitting you are receiving the programming is a admission of guilt

This reminds me of many owners of FTA receivers

All Information I may provide is found at various site on the Internet , the information is for Instructional , Educational ,and testing purposes only , I do not cordone the the theft of the providers signal , or of the theft bandwidth some manufacture's use for providing their services

You can say I posted something on the web, but can you PROVE I was actually doing what I said I was doing??? NOPE!!!!

No matter what anybody says they did in a posting, unless they actually CATCH the end user using a box to view illegal signals,...... And of course since N3 came out, that is going to be nearly impossible to prove now!!
THanks CHarlie LOL

Just my Honest Opinion.

Did anyone even notice that Cyphris was mentioned in the original court documents with his real name because I did.
