Besides raising the DHCP lease time, you should go to the page in your router where you entered the logon info for your ISP, and set the "Connect Mode" to "Always On" and that will stop the router from dropping the connection after being idle for the set period of time.

geeeezze, it is still freezing and has to be reset. I don't know what is wrong. I am unsure where to change this dhcp lease time you speak of but the idle time seemed so logical I was sure it would work

I think its cause you just changed the idle time. Look for a setting called "Connect Mode" and set it to always on.
