East Fork

Wen't to east fork near heaton flats to do some panning & sluicing this last friday. First test pan had 1 flake, second pan had a big honkin flake in it, Yeah buddy this is the spot. Panned all afternoon till our hands started to cramp up . Got 6 more flakes , one out of the sluice. Guess I'll keep my day job

Drywashing

Went out to a claim by lake silverwood this past saturday & did some drywashing before the storms hit. Just did a couple of pans of concentrates & it looks like we did pretty good, too bad these storms are going to mess the ground up for months.I hope i can get back out there before snake season, lots of mo-greens in the area. They say these are the old Mormon diggings, beats me how they found this valley out in the middle of no-wear

Big storm is gonna make for some good beach hunting

Hey Moondog, the storm is really turning over the beach huh? I'm definately gonna get out there after the rain. Maybe I'll find that ring that'll pay off some bills...
Which beach do ya think got the best of it?

Hey, on another subject, I couldn't get anybody to give up the carne asada marinade. I didn't think it would be that difficult. I know the basics are orange juice, lime juice, onions, garlic, salt, pepper. My grandpa used to use beer.

We are thinking alike! Do you recall 1980 and Redondo N of the Marina, Hermosa and ZUMA! My favorites back then.
I just posted another thread on the beaches here....

Ring in my pocket

I bet there's a big fat juicy ring out there, maybe santa monica north of the pier,Malibu is to hard to acess. We have to think where did the filthy rich frolic at. My other picks would be del mar or san cliemente. As far as the marinade no problem as we have two markets that do a killer job of marinading the meat & it's easier to just buy it from them. Mike
