July 4 gift for the kids "Cartoon Network" and "N" channels - FTA

For those who would like to make their kids sit in front of their Pansat 2700A, try this. I just stole the idea from Viewsat forum, thanks to DSS rookie members in that forum.

Menu--->Installation--->Advance scan--->Choose Echo 8.1/KU

In Down frequency, enter 12486 from the remote
Symbol Rate and Polarity, leave as is (20.000 Msps and Vertical)
Video PID, enter 6946
Audio PID, enter 6947
PCR PID, enter 6946

Press OK after entering PCR PID and wait for scanning and saving, it will come out as Ch-1 which we can change the name later or keep as it is. This will give you a "TOONW" channel, I think.

The latest BIN before N3 hit is valid to get the picture. No need to load any BIN file, I'm using V218 (Jun 7, 2009).

For those who like "N" Channel, just change Video, Audio, and PCR PID to 4130, 4131, 4130, respectively.

After finish scanning the first channel, go back to

Menu--->Channel Edit--->enter 0000 (as password)--->
rename the channel that you just scanned (such as TOONW) and move it up to the top such as channel 001

Then, go back to scan for the next channel, you will get another Ch-1 channel as the last channel on the channel list and it won't overwrite the first one since you have already moved it away and renamed (as TOONW). Now, you have both channels on your channel list. You can then move the second channel up to prevent overwriting in the future.

All 5 channels have the same sat and tp frequencies 12486 - Sat 110

you should be able to get the following ch with your pansat. use bin for date 06-08-2009
ion, angel, nasa, cartoon network the N and ctn.

what if you change all the pids on every station and get full tv just asking probbaly not tho
