Describe, describe, describe...

The Title:

• a title of Help!, does NOT help...
• are you descriptive?
• will people reading the title know what you want?
• will they know what your problem is?
• will they want to open your post to read it?

Be descriptive, like a title of I can't get signal from 110 satellite.

• to get people to know your specific problem
• to get the right people to help with your problem

The Description/Body of your post:

• In the description, do NOT put like I can't get signal from 110 satellite.
• Describe as MUCH as you can
• what is the problem?
• what receiver, software version, dish type and orientation, etc.?
• what have you done?
• what have you changed/tested?
• what results did you get with each test/change?
• Instead describe your problem and everything you've seen and tried. As in I've got a Viewsat VS2000 receiver, running version 3.25 of the software for it. I'm pointed to 110 and get a signal strength at the dish, but that signal is gone at the receiver and I don't get more than 50%. I changed the cable, tried a different receiver and still nothing.
  
  In short, make it easier for others to help you. You don't want to post just so others can post "so what have you done so far and what have you observed/seen?"... Help US help YOU!
