This would of course circumvent all work hackers have done up to this time on Nagra3 systems to date, and will cause all the work done up to this point to be worthless. I personally believe this may have been his plan from the beginning and force hackers to stop work on the new system and to wait for the release of Nagravision (G4) cards.

now let's just think about this for a minute.

They have over 30 million subscribers. Out of those let's just say 60% have gone to VIP receivers (probably much lower than that). What are they going to do with the other more than 12 million subscribers that want to rent a PPV or get their jollies from a porn flick. If they do not have a G4 card how are they gonna do it.
