Today I was surfing around and on the wired dot com website I viewed a video of some guy attempting to hack a smart card in his 'underground' lab. Very informative. It ain't that easy folks... Me being a relative newbie, now I have a new respect for coders and all the REAL testers out here. Whew... not that we condone or use this kind of information, heaven forbid. I'm sure most testers have already seen this video. I'm just a late comer to the hobby.

Yes that gentleman did that years ago when he cracked N2. Right now the providers went to a new system N3 and of this moment it has not been hacked or at least it is not open to the public. The hack may come tomorrow, next month, or never. No one really knows with any certainty if or when the hack will become available.

All the information I've ever heard indicated that N2 was never hacked, the code was leaked. I'm betting that's the only way N3 will ever be "Cracked". I haven't heard of anyone watching DTV without a Sub, in a very very long time. I'm not giving in however I will not Sub! Actually, I've gotten spoiled downloading all the shows I want to see. Completely edited, HD and Commercial Free. No I will not elaborate, there is one place on the web that has only recently started to come under attack from the Spas Generation and I'm hoping it will last awhile longer...

I thought it was N2 was hacked and MAP57 was leaked and/or bought?
