Stubborn? No, I'm just being practical. Most all of the people on the forums nowdays only have experience with FTA. Let's go back in time, F card hacked, H card hacked, HU card hacked, P4 card, end of the line. No group of coders will crack N3 as they have niether the equipement or expertise to do so. This will require a group of hackers which will demand and get an outrageous amount of money. Coders also do not work for free and with new sales of STB's nonexistent now how is any MFG going to recoup it's money and make a profit? Why people think that a purchase of an STB years ago will guarentee free tv for life is beyond me. They do still work for their original purpose which is true FTA. Time will tell but people are in denial that it's very possible that their original reciever may never work again for what they have been using them for. If and when an N3 hack comes out get ready to reach for your wallet, it's all about the money.

I have a scenario for you then ,,wrangler,,,say the people who make the FTA box takes care of the poor needs of the coders that are working on cracking NAG3 ,,and it is made feasible that the company may get a fix and guess what ,,,say it only cost like I dunno ,,,$5????? I somewhat see you position on this dude but if you think about it it may cost next to nothing ,,it almost seems like you are rooting for Dish and all the other rip-off dorks who try to COMMAND everything,,,take a chill dude ,,it will be marketable and it won't be that much if anything at all,,wow ,,and BTW as far as the equipment LOL that is a good one it is literally getting cracked as we speak,,,reign in the horses cowboy,,

one must remember in cracking this type of encryption...as direct has done..noone's been able to hack the p4 and now dish has come along after a long period of time..in which they have had plenty of time to create an encryption code that is similiar...card sharing seems to be the only way around at this time..what i remember from the old days when direct just came out with the p4,..there were channels comming back for a short period of time as we are seeing here with dish...just another matter of time..I hate to be the buzzer killer...but its been comming..and now it seems to be here..just my opinion..
