I've played with this stuff for many many many years and I can sAY that this is the truth and everyone is going to have to wait and enjoy the weather outside and before you know it you'll see the end of the rainbow where the pot of gold is and everyone will be jumping around like little elves and singing tra la laa laaa

It was very temping to believe those fixes for N3 and pay but since you assured many of us that they were nothing but a scam, I believe you Hedo. Thank you so much for warning us. More power to you guys and this site.

I just don't understand why people in this hobby can't or won't read! Thanks rookie for all you have done to keep us up on all things, with just a little reading.....

Some people want something for nothing, nothing is free, and they feel that they are owed something and just don't understand. I am sure most units have paid for themselves many times over.

Thanks again guys for a great informative site,

Probably. In the next year, more and more FTA boxes will come with an Ethernet port. Why? Not because the manufacturers want you to get caught hooked to dangerous servers. They want to keep up with the competition, who have adapted their boxes to get stuff off the Internet. And, if it turns out that N3 gives DN the capability to introduce ECMs that shut down static bins at a rapid rate, coders won't have time to re-wite the bin before the next ECM hits. If I thought of this, DN and NagraStar surely have. They are not stupid.
This will render the methods used for the last several years to get bins into the hands of users obsolete. Only a dynamic control word update method, such as IKS, will be able to keep up, and that is even questionable.
The coders will surely come up with some sort of fix, albeit temporary. But that won't happen until the G3 card is hacked and its secrets sold to the highest bidder. End of summer or early fall, perhaps. Meanwhile non-IKS FTA receiver sales will continue to be in the toilet.
