ihub

hi all sorry this question was probably asked the ihub for a sonic can i just use a rs232 to ethernet cable or the ihub needs to be used i didnt read about this ihub as i know the implications of getting pinched i want to know if a db9 to ethernet wire cant be used looking to see if i can get a work around.
