iHub & Wireless Bridge

Has anyone tried this type of set up? If so, please report which bridge (brand/model) is working for you.

I have a dlink working with dish network(slinger) and have one on the way to try on the I-hub. Can't see why it wouldn't work the same.

Any bridge or print server will work but its just one more thing to add issues. A network cable right to the router is best but these are just as reliable without running wires and are not wireless so no qorries of interference

My connection comes from a local hotel that offers free wi-fi. I use a usb wireless adapter to connect to the wi-fi. Can't use what you recommended so I have to think outside the box a little and short from getting my own ISP.

If thats your only option then yes go with a bridge or print server. But you could also enable ICS(internet connection sharing) on your pc thats running the USB adapter and share that connection too. The problem you will run into is that if you ever need to reset the router that wont be possible for you.

Thanks Gary Gnu. I will look into your recommendation. If I can use what I currently have and not have to buy anything new, why not.

Only thing is you may need a crossover type ethernet cable between the pc and the hub...but just try with a standard ethernet cable first.
