Question Question regarding IHub & I.P. tracking Info.

Hello all, I have viewed quite a few post regarding the IHub & haven't seen info regarding this particular subject (so forgive me in advance if it already has been addressed). My question is, since the major downside to use of the Iks appears to be potential of the user having his/hers I.P. address being traced back to them. Has there been testing using a I.P. ghosting program?
And , if so what was the success (since my understanding is that using such programs has it's issues, i.e. use on torrent sites allows cloaked I.P., but if program is left on for browsing on the web, many sites are not able to be accessed due to the use of these types of programs). Thanks - Joe C.

Yes Joe, there has been lots of argumentes about that. Do a search. And yes, your IP is traceable. Also have been argumentes about softwares to hide your IP. Is a chance you take just like it is a chance you are taking if you are using an FTA STB with third party software for piracy.

Joe your IP can be traced using an FTA set box just as it can be traced using IKS, but not as easy as IKS in my opinion. Now everyone may think I am in favor of IKS well that is not my opinion at all although I have had IKS for 3 years.

IKS is not the same (as far as taking chances), as an FTA without a constant internet connection (stand alone), they do not leave your IP address logged anywhere. IKS does.

What I mean is >>>>> You can watch a non IKS FTA reciever that does not need the internet, from now till the cows come home and there is no internet trail left that proves you did.

not all the time only when you want to watch something thats N3..

Concerned About Your IP Address?
Rule 1... You can't hide your IP from being tracked back by providers.
Rule 2... Its not a matter of if you have done something wrong.. Its a matter of wether someone can prove you did something wrong.

Consider all those crazy emails you see with really long email addresses... or emails that come from one address and want you to reply to another or finally emails you get that seem to be for somebody not you. All of these are sent by bouncing data through nodes ( other PCs.) Eventually by the time you get the email its not possible to track back... too many redirects.

What really happens..

Your machine has a number. You have an IP address that is based on where your located and what path your directed to. While you can fool the recipient in thinking your coming from china... A high order Trace RT will sniff right to your telephone pole.. Many will claim wireless as there savior but again if email addresses are logged which usually do show up... then all it takes is one email at any point in the connections life to produce a trackable comparison name to file. This is why so many in the know are so afraid of IKS.

Now the issues is this new IHUB has a legit purpose and uses a similar process to accomplish this. It now becomes an issue of wether the unit can be proven to be doing something illicit or legal.

I was also told there is a new code called TOR that is being incorporated in many hardware devices that scrambles header data and other pertinent data making it very dificult to confirm the purpose use of the device.( not sure about this part yet) There may be a complicated network setup that I have no clue about assisting in that confusion. All the better.

It is important that you do understand the real truth about how IPs etc work. Don't assume spoofing software will protect you alone as it won't.

When hiding your i.p you have to take into consideration whether you are hiding your i.p for web surfing or in other words TCP traffic or for instance like IKS which I believe is going to be UDP traffic. Torrents use both TCP/UDP traffic. TOR stands for "The Onion Route" and the only thing that concerns me about using that network is there are so many "others" that use it: Law Enforcement, Military, Journalists....and some others that I really wouldn't want to be sharing a network with if you know what I mean.
